1/11/2016 0 Comments Proverbs 31 RevelationsI have heard the Proverbs 31 woman talked a bit about over the years. Tonight when I opened up God's word that's what it opened to Proverbs 31:10-31. Reading everything supposedly this woman does if you look at it in the natural you can be intimidated by it or think it's impossible for someone to do all that each day. Here are somethings I got from it tonight. First the key verse is
Proverbs 31:30 NLT Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last; but a woman who fears the Lord will be greatly praised. This is the most important verse because if it wasn't for her fear/reverence for the Lord & trust in Him, then she wouldn't be able to do anything that is listed in the previous verses. She isn't doing all those things in her own power but through the power God gives us that ask. I don't think all the things listed are things that every woman should be doing but more of a small list of things that can be done with God's help. Proverbs 31:25 NLT She is clothed with strength & dignity, and laughs without fear of the future I feel this verse corroborates what I said about verse 30. That she is clothed(given by God) the strength(power) to do all and she is able to laugh without fear of the future because she is trusting God with her future and just like His Word says His plans are good! Proverbs 31:26-27 NLT When she speaks, her words are wise, and she gives instructions with kindness. She carefully watches everything in her household and suffers nothing from laziness. The first part I think is telling us yet again that we need to really think before we speak. Is what you are about to say wise? Not just meaning is it something smart but is it something that really should be said. Are your instructions in kindness? Meaning will what you say be productive. It's good to give feedback or critiques but it needs to be done with the right spirit & be useful. Finally one needs to be aware of the things going on around them, that way they know what needs to be done and if anything is out of place.

10/25/2015 0 Comments SeasonsSeasons come and go and each season has a purpose. Seasons have an order: there is a sowing season, a growing season, a harvesting season & a resting season. Many people don't want to follow the seasons orders. They just want to sow and harvest, skip the growing. Some skip the resting season. But each season is important and must not be skipped. The attempt at skipping seasons have consequences.
Ecclesiastes 3:1-14 NLT 1For everything there is a season,a time for every activity under heaven.2A time to be born and a time to die.A time to plant and a time to harvest.3A time to kill and a time to heal.A time to tear down and a time to build up.4A time to cry and a time to laugh.A time to grieve and a time to dance.5A time to scatter stones and a time to gather stones.A time to embrace and a time to turn away.6A time to search and a time to quit searching.A time to keep and a time to throw away.7A time to tear and a time to mend.A time to be quiet and a time to speak.8A time to love and a time to hate.A time for war and a time for peace.9What do people really get for all their hard work? 10I have seen the burden God has placed on us all. 11Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end. 12So I concluded there is nothing better than to be happy and enjoy ourselves as long as we can. 13And people should eat and drink and enjoy the fruits of their labor, for these are gifts from God.14And I know that whatever God does is final. Nothing can be added to it or taken from it. God’s purpose is that people should fear him. 5/26/2015 0 Comments Take Away?I heard a song today that said "He gives and takes away" and it bothered me. It makes it sound like God is an "indian giver", or that He causes bad things to happen. First off, Jesus took the curse by suffering and being killed on the cross so that we would have life more abundantly. God never takes a loved one because He needs another angel. Only one comes to steal, kill and destroy and that is satan. God also fully believes in free will. Only time He is going to take something is when you ask Him too! Want Him to take your pain, sickness, addiction and so on? ASK HIM!! He isn't however going to take your job because you didn't give an offering at church. God wants only the best for His children!!
John 10:10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly. Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. Matthew 7:11 So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask him. 10/12/2013 0 Comments Nothing Can SeparateI had a nightmare that something was trying to separate Curtis & I and for the first moment I was sad but then I got mad and refused to let it happen. I was like I know without a doubt that God put us together and there was no way I was letting the devil win. We have victory over him in Christ. And when I woke up I remember there is this scripture "For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife; And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder." (Mark 10:7-9 KJV) Thank You God for Your Word!
10/1/2013 0 Comments Nothing Can Separate YouRemember no matter what life and this world deals you, God is always with you and for you. He loves you and will help you through anything if you just lean on Him. Things may not seem easy at times, they might feel nearly impossible to deal with but you have to rely on the great comforter/victor completely during those times. The devil wants you to feel alone but you are never alone. God is always there & He puts people in your life to be there for you too. You just have to be open to receiving the help.
Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us. And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:35, 37-39 NLT) And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you. (Ephesians 4:32 KJV)
9/16/2013 0 Comments Be Like ChristOur ultimate purpose in this life is to be like Jesus Christ. If you stay focused on doing this than what a fruitful life you will have.
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. (Romans 8:28, 29 KJV) 5/24/2013 0 Comments It's Time to Own upFrom the beginning, man has made excuses, and blamed others for their wrongs shown in Genesis 3:12 "The man replied,'It was the woman, you gave me who gave me the fruit, and I ate it.' " He was standing right next to her when the whole thing went down, clearly stated in Genesis 3:6 "Then she gave some to her husband, who was with her and he ate it, too." He could have told her not to do it and/or he could have refused to eat it, but no he just stood there and then ate it. He was as fault just as much as she was. The same type of situations still occur to this day. People blaming other for things they knew were wrong and still did them and people standing around watching others do wrong and not saying or doing anything about it. Isn't it time we own up and just admit when we do wrong? Or better yet not do wrong in the first place when we directly know we shouldn't? Or even step in and try to at least talk someone not to do wrong if we can or even stop them? Not taking responsibility for our actions or even lack of actions is a huge part of why the earth and human race is in the predicament it is now.
5/12/2013 0 Comments 1st Mother's DayHe gives the childless woman a family, making her a happy mother. Praise the LORD!
Children are a gift from the LORD; they are a reward from Him. Happy Mother's Day! This year is extra special to me cause after 6 years I finally have a precious miracle to hold in my arms. God has blessed me so much! 11/9/2012 0 Comments Living the New LifeSince you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits in the place of honor at God's right hand. Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth. For you died to this life, and your real life is hidden with Christ in God. And when Christ, who is your life, is revealed to the whole world, you will share in all his glory.
So put to death the sinful, earthly things lurking within you. Have nothing to do with sexual immorality, impurity, lust, and evil desires. Don't be greedy, for a greedy person is an idolater, worshiping the things of this world. Because of these sins, the anger of God is coming. You used to do these things when your life was still part of this world. But now is the time to get rid of anger, rage, malicious behavior, slander, and dirty language. Don't lie to each other, for you have stripped off your old sinful nature and all its wicked deeds. Put on your new nature, and be renewed as you learn to know your Creator and become like him. In this new life, it doesn't matter if you are a Jew or a Gentile, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbaric, uncivilized, slave, or free. Christ is all that matters, and he lives in all of us. Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Make allowance for each other's faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony. And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful. Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts. And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father. (Colossians 3:1-17 NLT) |
