1/19/2016 0 Comments To Heighten a SenseI was just on the phone and was having a hard time hearing so I went into a room with the lights off & took my glasses off, which may seem silly. I was trying to hear and it shouldn't have anything to do with seeing right? Have you ever seen or heard the people poking fun at drivers that turn their music off cause they are trying to find their way? It's actually quite logical to do both of those things. You ask why? The answer is simple sometimes you got to shut down other senses/distractions to be able to focus and heighten the sense you need most at the time. Just like when you fast you should be shutting down the distraction of eating or whatever you maybe fasting to focus on your relationship with God and trying to hear what He has been trying to tell you but you couldn't hear through all the other noises.

1/14/2016 0 Comments Uniquely MadeEvery person is uniquely made by God. Each person has their own personality and way of living life. Every person gets to make their own choices in life. While situations can be similar, no one knows exactly what another person has gone or is going through. No one but Christ was perfect. If you don't like how someone else lives or parents well you don't have to do what they do. As long as they aren't harming themselves or others then leave them alone. Just cause you do things one way doesn't make you better or your ways better it just makes them different. This world needs less people judging each other and instead more people loving & helping each other.
1/11/2016 0 Comments Proverbs 31 RevelationsI have heard the Proverbs 31 woman talked a bit about over the years. Tonight when I opened up God's word that's what it opened to Proverbs 31:10-31. Reading everything supposedly this woman does if you look at it in the natural you can be intimidated by it or think it's impossible for someone to do all that each day. Here are somethings I got from it tonight. First the key verse is
Proverbs 31:30 NLT Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last; but a woman who fears the Lord will be greatly praised. This is the most important verse because if it wasn't for her fear/reverence for the Lord & trust in Him, then she wouldn't be able to do anything that is listed in the previous verses. She isn't doing all those things in her own power but through the power God gives us that ask. I don't think all the things listed are things that every woman should be doing but more of a small list of things that can be done with God's help. Proverbs 31:25 NLT She is clothed with strength & dignity, and laughs without fear of the future I feel this verse corroborates what I said about verse 30. That she is clothed(given by God) the strength(power) to do all and she is able to laugh without fear of the future because she is trusting God with her future and just like His Word says His plans are good! Proverbs 31:26-27 NLT When she speaks, her words are wise, and she gives instructions with kindness. She carefully watches everything in her household and suffers nothing from laziness. The first part I think is telling us yet again that we need to really think before we speak. Is what you are about to say wise? Not just meaning is it something smart but is it something that really should be said. Are your instructions in kindness? Meaning will what you say be productive. It's good to give feedback or critiques but it needs to be done with the right spirit & be useful. Finally one needs to be aware of the things going on around them, that way they know what needs to be done and if anything is out of place. 10/25/2015 0 Comments SeasonsSeasons come and go and each season has a purpose. Seasons have an order: there is a sowing season, a growing season, a harvesting season & a resting season. Many people don't want to follow the seasons orders. They just want to sow and harvest, skip the growing. Some skip the resting season. But each season is important and must not be skipped. The attempt at skipping seasons have consequences.
Ecclesiastes 3:1-14 NLT 1For everything there is a season,a time for every activity under heaven.2A time to be born and a time to die.A time to plant and a time to harvest.3A time to kill and a time to heal.A time to tear down and a time to build up.4A time to cry and a time to laugh.A time to grieve and a time to dance.5A time to scatter stones and a time to gather stones.A time to embrace and a time to turn away.6A time to search and a time to quit searching.A time to keep and a time to throw away.7A time to tear and a time to mend.A time to be quiet and a time to speak.8A time to love and a time to hate.A time for war and a time for peace.9What do people really get for all their hard work? 10I have seen the burden God has placed on us all. 11Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end. 12So I concluded there is nothing better than to be happy and enjoy ourselves as long as we can. 13And people should eat and drink and enjoy the fruits of their labor, for these are gifts from God.14And I know that whatever God does is final. Nothing can be added to it or taken from it. God’s purpose is that people should fear him. 8/31/2015 0 Comments Free WillI had this laid on my heart tonight. God made humans in His own image. Just like God, humans have free will. With free will come consequences of the choices made. God knew when He decided to do that what the consequences would be of His decision, which is why He came up with a plan to deal with those consequences. To many people make decisions without bothering to think about the consequences of those choices or making plans for them.
God gave us free will so we could chose to have a relationship with Him. Before the fall of man God went to the garden to talk, fellowship, hangout and be part of Adam & Eve's lives. He wants to do the same thing with us today. He wants a relationship with the people He has created. Think about a parent/child relationship. A good parent wants to talk, hangout and be part of their child's life. A good parent has unconditional love for their child and nothing will change that. The parent may not agree with everything the child does but the child has free will to make the choice. The child should be taught, plus with every choice learns there are consequences to what they chose, be them good or bad. A good parent always wants the best for the child and hates to see when the bad happens. God is the ultimate parent! He advises you against things not because He is mean or wants mindless followers but because He sees the consequences. He wants His children to decide to have a relationship with Him. He wants His children to use the free will to do good and not bad. One could say what's good or what's bad is a matter of opinion. To a degree that is true. Here is a simple way of looking at good and bad. Does it edify, improve, or encourage? Or does it belittle, hinder, or destroy? 5/26/2015 0 Comments Take Away?I heard a song today that said "He gives and takes away" and it bothered me. It makes it sound like God is an "indian giver", or that He causes bad things to happen. First off, Jesus took the curse by suffering and being killed on the cross so that we would have life more abundantly. God never takes a loved one because He needs another angel. Only one comes to steal, kill and destroy and that is satan. God also fully believes in free will. Only time He is going to take something is when you ask Him too! Want Him to take your pain, sickness, addiction and so on? ASK HIM!! He isn't however going to take your job because you didn't give an offering at church. God wants only the best for His children!!
John 10:10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly. Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. Matthew 7:11 So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask him. 5/6/2015 0 Comments Storms don't last!God is so Good!! No matter what you are going through you need to praise Him!! Remember if you are in a storm right now the sunshine is coming!! Some storms last longer than other but in the end the sunshine always comes!! Don't give up hold onto your faith. Jesus is the breakthrough provider!!
5/5/2015 0 Comments Things are going to changeI know it's been way to long since I have got to do anything with this site & blog. While I always feel like I have a million things that I have to get done and that this is on the way back burner, I feel like I need to change things. I feel like I should simplify this site and keep it more up to date. I always felt insignificant and that no one really cared what I did and what happen to me. That's simply not true. God always has and always will care about me. I also have family by blood and choice that care. You never really know how much your life, your story can effect other people. You never really know what is really going on in others lives and how your testimony even if it seems small God can use to help them get through their storm. Because of that, that is why I want to start sharing my life, story, and feelings more. I plan on sharing things that are laid on my heart be it from the past or the present or even hopes for the future.

11/15/2013 0 Comments FearlessFor God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline. (2 Timothy 1:7 NLT)
God doesn't want us to fear anything. Not even little things. Through Christ He has given us the strength to overcome the things of this world, the ones you can see and can't see. Understanding His grace and having faith in that grace is the key to living a fearless life. Even if at times things in the natural seem overwhelming, remember He promised never to leave or forsake you! His love is everlasting and does not fail. He is our provider, comforter, and healer. He is our everything! |
